31-Day Meditation Challenge

I challenge you to rise to your potential, to up-level your game, and to think big into 2019 by visualizing outrageous possibilities for yourself and then to grow into those possibilities with the help of a daily meditation practice.

Starting January 1st I’ll be hosting a 31-Day Meditation Challenge. Join me!

We’ll start with a visualization of an incredible 2019 which defies expectations. Then, for the next 31 days, you’ll meditate every day, affirming and materializing the visualization by building a foundation of mindfulness. After the month is over, you’ll already be launched into an incredible year.

6-Week Virtual Online Yoga Nidra Course with Scott Moore

Yoga Nidra is a relaxing, guided meditation, where you lie down, close your eyes and listen as I guide you toward experiencing your utmost nature of Being. Yoga Nidra is the practice of experiencing yourself as Awareness. As you practice, your life will recalibrate toward a richer, deeper expression of you. The results of this course are life changing.

This Yoga Nidra experience will be hosted in the comfort of your own home via an online meeting place called Zoom. It will be a live, unique class that you will experience with other practitioners all over the country and world. 

You will receive a recording of each session so you can develop a Yoga Nidra teaching library and/or watch a session later if you have to miss a session.

In addition to access to the live classes you’ll also receive:

  • Audio/Video recording of each of the sessions

  • A transcript of each of the sessions

  • Access to dozens of other Yoga Nidra recordings

I invite you to explore your own True Nature by experiencing a felt sense of Awareness through a special evening of Yoga Nidra. It’s easy but profound. Beginners and experts alike are welcome to join this special evening. This will be held at a beautiful residence nestled into the granite majesty of the Uinta mountains, just a half mile up Little Cottonwood Canyon.

At this special event, we will have a discussion/lecture about the nature of reality and how we can wake to a greater sense of reality through Yoga Nidra. We will move and change our bodies through gentle yoga poses to become receptive to our deeper and True Nature. Then, we’ll experience some specialized breathing techniques to harmonize our energy. Finally we will enter into a profound and relaxing Yoga Nidra practice which is specific to this concept of Reality and which will take you into deeper relaxation as the portal into understanding some of the mysteries of the cosmos.

This evening of Yoga Nidra will be deeper and more specialized than a class at the studio.

After we will have a Q&A.

You will receive an audio recording copy of the lecture, the movement and breathing practice, as well as the Yoga Nidra recording itself to continue plumbing the depths of your True Nature and expand your experience of your felt sense of Awareness.

This group is ideal for people who are in need of skills to manage reactivity, mood and the physical/emotional costs of the stress response.   Because the group is limited to 12 participants, it is a supportive and productive environment for healing.  The group teaches a variety of self-care skills and is therefore especially helpful for people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, insomnia, chronic disease, and/or traumatic events.

The JFS Mind Body group typically has 10-12 participants and follows the Center for Mind Body Medicine's 9-week curriculum.  The curriculum was developed by James Gordon, MD, a Harvard trained psychiatrist, Professor of Psychiatry at Georgetown University Medical School, author, and world renowned expert in complementary medicine.  More information about this model can be found at www.cmbm.org .

5-Day Silent Retreat in Spain

Join Vicki Overfelt and Scott Moore in beautiful northern Spain for a 5-day silent meditation retreat. The retreat will be held at the tranquil and pristine Centro Punta de Couso, an oasis of quiet tucked against the coast of the Atlantic Ocean

Guests will arrive and get settled on Tuesday, June 20 and the retreat will begin the following day and finish on Sunday, June 25 at noon. 

Intention

Our intention for this retreat is to offer each participant a supportive environment in which to practice extended periods of silence and mindfulness practice. Over the course of 5 days, we will come together in silence to formally practice mindfulness through sitting and walking meditation, yoga, the body scan and other contemplative exercises. We will also incorporate walks in nature, deep rest, and nourishing food. Participants will also have the opportunity for one-on-one interviews with the teachers to discuss their personal practice and the experience of the retreat. We recommend this retreat for those with a well-established mindfulness practice interested in extended, silent practice in a supportive environment.
